These are kept short and in plain language on purpose, this is a small personal project, not a company with a legal department.

What this is

ForumOfDiscord reads public data from Discord servers whose admins chose to publish them (via the bot's /settings published true command) and displays it as a browsable, read-only forum. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord Inc. Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines still apply to everything you see here.

Accounts (optional)

Browsing doesn't require an account. If you choose to log in with Discord, we only ever ask for the identify scope (your Discord username, avatar and ID), nothing more, and your Discord access token is used once to fetch that and then discarded, never stored. Logging in lets a server's channels be filtered down to what you'd actually see in Discord, and lets you post replies (see Content you see here). See Cookies below for what a login session stores.

Content you see here

Messages, topics and server info shown on this site come directly from Discord and belong to whoever posted them there, not to this site. We don't write, edit, moderate or vet any of it beyond the display logic itself. If something published here shouldn't be, that's mainly a matter for the Discord server it came from (or Discord's own reporting tools), but you're welcome to flag it through the contact page too and we'll look into unpublishing that server. Replies you post through this site on a server that allows it are relayed into the real Discord channel through a bot-managed webhook, shown under your live Discord username and avatar — it's a relay, not literally a message sent from your Discord account, and Discord's own client marks it as a webhook message.

Availability

This runs as a hobby project. It can go down, change, or disappear without notice, and there's no uptime guarantee or support commitment attached to any of it.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change whenever the site does. Checking back here occasionally is on you, there's no notification system for it.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are functional: your chosen theme, language, and light/dark mode, each remembered so the site looks the way you left it on your next visit. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party cookies.

No warranty

This site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk. We're not liable for decisions made based on what's displayed here, for downtime, or for content posted by someone else on Discord and mirrored here.
